With the WHOIS protection functionality, you will be able to conceal your personal information that appears on the World Wide Web upon a WHOIS lookup on your domain. By doing this, if somebody does a WHOIS lookup on your domain, they’ll see fictional info instead of your private details. With this option activated, you won’t ever have to worry that somebody could use your street address or phone number to bother you.

The WHOIS protection feature is available with most of the top–level domain names offered on our web sute and you can find it in the Domain Manager integrated into your Control Panel.

Through the Domain Manager, you can request an SSL certificate for your domain name. With an SSL certificate, all the private information that your clients send through your site (through the order form, via a login form, etc.) will be enciphered and the submitted information will never be imperiled.

To order an SSL certificate for your domain name, just fill in the required information and click on the Activate button. You can order a common SSL certificate, which will be valid for just one single host, or a wildcard SSL certificate, which will be enabled for all the hosts under your domain.

In case you only have a domain name with Host Acadiana, and yet you also want to transfer your web site(s) to our web hosting platform, you can just switch to one of our cloud hosting packages. Simply visit the Upgrade Plan section of the Domain Control Panel and choose the plan that you want to switch to.
